We collect the email addresses of people who communicate with us by email. We also aggregate information on what pages visitors access or visit using analytics services. The information we collect is used to improve the content of our websites and the quality of our services.
Plato does not sell visitor information. We may disclose information when required by law, to investigate fraud or abuse, to protect safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition.
When you register with Plato, you may provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, and linked social accounts. If you use Plato to place orders, save preferences, message other users, or create seller profile content, we may also process the information needed to provide those features.
You enter content on the site at your own risk. No security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee that content you submit will never be accessed by unauthorized parties.
A cookie is a small piece of data stored by your browser. Plato does not rely on cookies for core functionality.
We operate the application and supporting infrastructure, but customer data remains the property of the customer. We do not use customer data for unrelated business purposes.
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, support payments and accounting, and protect the safety and integrity of the platform.
If you create an account in Plato, you can request permanent account deletion directly in the app.
When deletion is completed, we delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account, such as profile details, saved preferences, authentication sessions, and device push tokens.
Some records may be retained where necessary to preserve completed transactions and other users’ records, or to comply with legal, fraud-prevention, safety, support, accounting, tax, or payment obligations. In those cases, we retain only the minimum data necessary and, where feasible, keep it in anonymized or de-identified form.
We may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with legal obligations or when a user's actions violate our Terms of Use.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes may be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
